Oak Bay is one of the most desirable residential areas in Greater Victoria. Its municipality is made up of several distinct neighborhoods such as North and South Oak Bay, Estevan and the upscale Uplands location. Oak Bay has a population of over 18, 000 and is located to the east of Victoria with miles of coastline, beaches and vistas.  Oak Bay offers many luxury condos as well as gated Heritage waterfront mansions.

Oak Bay was incorporated as a municipality in 1906 and offers a rich history. Living in Oak Bay has some times been referred to as living behind the Tweed Curtain.

Oak Bay offers two world class golf courses, the Oak Bay Marina as well as the Royal Victoria Yacht Club which is involved in the renowned Annual Swiftsure Sail boat race. The University of Victoria and Camosun College border Oak Bay and the Municipality of Saanich.

Oak Bay is famous for the protection of its beauty and character of residential and commercial areas. Both the Oak Bay Village and Estevan Village maintain the small village like atmosphere.
